We marched through the city in the following order:

Wir marschierten in folgender Order durch die Stadt wie hier zu sehen :

The first brigade led by : the Baron de Vioménil, in front and on horseback. The first regiment was the Bourbonnois. The 2nd, the Royal Deux-Ponts. Behind that one came the light artillery, but first the heavy artillery with the constables[262] on either side, lit wicks in hand, ready to fire.

Das erste Brigad welches führete : Monsieur le Baron de Wiominille, welcher zu Pferd ware, und reitet vorher. Das erste Regiment ware Bourbo-nois. Das 2te Royal Deuxponts. Hinter diesem folgte die kleine Artillerie : Vorher die grosse, nebst den Kunstabler auf beyden Seiten mit brennenden Lunden in der Hand bereit zu losbrennen.

262. Constable is the name given to an artilleryman of the Imperial Army. This passage, therefore, clearly illustrates the specificity of the Royal Deux-Ponts regiment. Flohr uses vocabulary referring to imperial armies, and not to the French army. A German soldier, Flohr applies his own military references to the French army.
