On the 27^th, the horizon was a little foggy, but the storm was still just as strong. Now we had left the Boston region, but we stayed in these waters for a few days to wait for the ships coming from Portsmuth[283]. Thereupon, the storm doubled in strength. The sea waves were so violent that we thought the end was near.

Den 27ten zeigte sich der Horizont etwas neb-licht aber der Sturm noch so häuffig als zuvor. Jetzt hatten wir das Land von Boston schon verlohren doch aber mußten wir noch einige Tage alda herum schweben um diejenige Schiffe so in Portsmuth waren zu erwardten. Worauf aber der Sturm allezeit noch viel häfftiger wurde. Die Wellen des Meeres tobeten dermassen das man glaubte es wäre am letzten.
