Then they returned back to their homes, quite happy, and our other soldiers went back to our tents to sleep a short while.

Als dann gingen sie wiedrum vergnügt nach Hauße und wir Soldaten in unsre Zelten ein wenig zu schlaffen.

On the 28^th, 12 miles to Farmington, a small town near the mountain, in a pleasant region. We made camp at the base of a small hill amongst fruit trees.

Den 28ten 12 Meilen biß Farmingston ein Städtgen am Gebürge in einer angenehmen Gegend. Wir schlugen das Lager unten an einem kleinen Hugel gantz mit Obstbäumen umringet.

On the 29^th, another 11 miles to Hartford, a lovely city, rather large, along a river with intense traffic, thanks to which it is very commercial. That river separates the city into 2 parts. We made our camp on the other side of the river, about ½ mile from the city and we rested until November 4^th. Then we set off again for 14 miles to Bolton where we made our camp.

Den 29ten wiedrum 11 Meilen biß Harford eine schöne Stadt von einer zimmlichen Größe an einem schiffreichen Fluße welcher sie ebenfalls sehr handelbahr machen thut. Dieser Fluß zertheillet die Stadt in 2 Theil. Wir schlugen das Lager jenseit dem Fluße ohngefähr eine ½ Meil von der Stadt und hatten Rastag alda eine Zeit lang biß den 4t. 9br. Alsdan brachen wir wiedrum auf 14 Meilen biß Bulton allwo wir das Lager schlugen.

On the 5^th, to Windham, a small town. 12 miles away; we had a day’s rest there.

Den 5ten biß Windham ein Stadtgen. 12 Meilen alda hatten wir Rastag.

On the 7^th, we set off again for 10 miles to Lauterling, a small town, where we made our camp.

Den 7ten brachen wir auf 10 Meilen biß Lauterling ein Städtgen alda schlugen wir das Lager.

On November 8^th, 11 miles to Plainfield. But we pushed forward all the way to Wallenthaun, a small town near a flat mountain in a pleasant region. We made camp right beside the town, on a plain.

Den 8ten 9br. 11 Meilen biß Plänfelt. Wir gingen aber noch biß Wallenthaun, ein Städtgen an einem gantz flachen Gebürge in einer lieblichen und angenehmen Gegend. Wir schlugen das Lager gantz nahe bey dem Städtgen auf der Ebenen.

On November 9^th, we set off again for 14 miles to Wassermann House, a very beautiful domain.

Den 9ten 9br brachen wir wiedrum auf 14 Meilen biß Wassermans Hauß ein sehr schönes Schandel-mäns Guth.
