On the 24^th, the horizon appeared rather bright, but the winds remained the same, from the south.

Den 24ten zeigte sich der Horizont etwas hell doch aber noch mit dem nemlichen Wind von süd-licher Seite.

On the 25^th around 9 o’clock in the morning, we came across a Swedish trade ship loaded with coffee, sugar, and other goods of that nature. That ship went along with us until around the evening, then it went in another direction.

Den 25ten morgens gegen 9 Uhr begegnete uns ein schwedisches Kaufmans-Schiff, welches ware mit Caffé, Zucker und dergleichen Sachen geladen. Dieses Schiff fuhre mit uns biß gegen Abend alsdan nahm es einen andren Weg.
