zum Rothen Löwen ein Wirthshauß an der Straße allwo wir das Lager schlugen. Wir passierten diesen Tag ein kleines Städtgen mit Namens Franckfort oder Neu-Franckfort welches mit lauder Deutschen bewohnet ist.

On the 4^th, we passed through Bristol, a small town, and arrived in Trenton, a small town along the Delaware River, which we crossed, and we made our camp on the other side of the river right next to the town. One does not find Germans there very often, only a household from time to time. We rested there as well until the 7^th. We travelled 14 miles from the Red Lion to Trenton.

Den 4ten passierten wir Pristoll ein kleines Städtgen und kamen biß Trenthaun ein Städtgen am Fluße Tellawar, welchen wir passierten und schlugen das Lager jenseits dem Fluß gantz nahe bey der Stadt. Alda findet man schon nicht viel Deutschen mehr als hin und wieder ein Haußgesäß. Alda hatten wir Rastag biß den 7ten. Wir hatten 14 Meillen vom Rothen Löwen biß nach Trenthaun.

On the 7^th, we set off again to travel 14 miles to Princeton, a small town. There is a beautiful college there that the King of England had built in 1756, but which was damaged by the war; we made our camp nearby.

Den 7ten brachen wir alda wiedrum auf 14 Meilen biß Printzthaun ein Städtgen. Allda ist auch ein schönes Colegium welches der König von England im Jahr 1756 hat bauen lassen aber jetzt durch den Krieg wiedrum verliedriget worden ; wir schlugen gantz nahe dabei unser Lager.
